Rewarding Borrowers' Good Credit Profile

Offering lower MI premium rates to the most creditworthy customers always made a lot of sense. But it took innovative thinking and technical prowess to make risk-based pricing work to its full potential. In fact, Radian makes it work in two different ways.

  • Lenders may use FICO scores to establish premium reductions for creditworthy homebuyers, or
  • Radian employs powerful mortgage-scoring and risk-assessment tools to set even more attractive MI premium rates

With risk-based pricing, Radian's rates are adjusted from our standard industry monthly or single premiums. Risk-based pricing is available on lender-paid and borrower-paid MI and may be applied to Alternative A and A Minus loans. Lenders achieve increased efficiency and profitability. Homebuyers benefit from having good credit.
